CASE: This is Fosfari.

Fosfari was founded in 2006 and helps clients to find the right lighting for specific projects. Working with light is pure specialist work and they know that like no other at Fosfari. They have a passionate team of product specialists, graphic designers, interior architects and lighting designers, and together they place the space in the appropriate light. With the appropriate light, they make a room bigger, smaller, safer and more convivial. From homes to offices or factories, from village squares to railway stations. Each environment requires its own lighting plan. They follow a clear philosophy: it is not the light source itself that is decisive, but the effect it has on those who live, work, relax and sleep there.

"I am very satisfied with the cooperation. As Fosfari and Remoticom, we are really a team because we are both not that big, but we are very flexible and innovative. We speak the same language and we are happy with Remoticom's expertise in smart solutions that fills the needs of the Belgian market."

– Pieter Bosmans, Sales Manager Outdoor Lighting, Fosfari

STARTING POINTS.

Together with Geonius we have formulated the following principles:

Increasing security in the centre of Hasselt, especially on the Kolonel Dusartplein.
Remote-controlled lighting by means of an application.
A product that is so compact that it fits into the mast and/or the central unit.
Specific parties such as the municipality and the police must have access to control luminaires in the event of calamities.
The data flows must be secure.

OUR APPROACH.

Fosfari has collaborated with Remoticom many times in the past. For this specific case, we highlight the Kolonel Dusartplein in Hasselt and our products: the Dali 4 controller, the Emergency app and the ZSC100.

This time, Fosfari came to us with the question whether we could think along about the safety of the square by means of lighting. There are many cafés on the square and in the evening it can sometimes get too cosy, causing trouble.

By default, the lighting in the square is on a fixed light setting (in this case 20%). But in case of calamities, it should be possible to scale up to 100%. By using the Emergency app, through the NB-IoT network, this can be realised. In this way the municipality, in cooperation with the police, can guarantee public safety at the square.

In addition, there was a specific request for an efficient solution that did not require the company to travel to individual control cabinets every time. More flexible working and less CO2 emissions were desired.

Products.

Product used to create this innovative solution:

DALI 1.04
Dali 1.04
The Emergency app
ZSC100 (2)
ZSC100

Solution.

Based on the briefing, we were able to recommend our Dali 1.04 controllers, which were installed in the relevant masts in the square. With limited access to the luminaires through the use of the Emergency app, another step towards a lasting relationship and the safety of cities has been taken.

! By the way, this is the first time the Emergency app has been rolled out in combination with our Dali 1.04 controller.

A piece of intelligence has also been added to various luminaires in the city of Hasselt, where our Zhaga Smart Controllers (ZSC100) have been used, which have been fitted to the relevant luminaires in a plug & play manner.

RESULTS ACHIEVED.

CASE: Wireless DMX control in Valkenberg park

Valkenburg park is a busy park located in the centre of Breda. The park is located on the walking route from the city centre to Breda Central Station. The lighting should contribute to a safe environment. In addition, the park is also used for events, for which the lights need to be able to be set to an appropriate scene.

CASE: IJpelareweg Tilburg, the animal-friendly and energy-efficient cycle path.

Ijpelareweg is a bicycle path situated in the city of Tilburg in the Netherlands. Indeed, a cycle path should always be adequately lit when someone passes. But of course, there are also various times when the cycle path is deserted and no movement is detected. This project provides an energy-efficient and animal-friendly solution, where we want to keep energy consumption as low as possible.
