Why is it that many people think that our name is Remoticon -with an 'n'- instead of Remoticom? We understand it in a way, Remoticon could also have been a choice, but the name Remoticom was chosen for a reason.
The name Remoticom is derived from two words: remote and communication. Our desire from the start was that various devices, sensors and networks could talk to each other. If we had chosen Remoticon, it could stand for remote and connectivity. However, the choice for Remoticom is and was very deliberate.
WE LIKE TO GET OUR HANDS DIRTY.
After all, we are a company that develops innovations from head to tail. We like to have our hands in front of the pipeline, in the pipeline, but also on the sidelines of new developments afterwards. This requires the right communication. With our people, with our customers and with our partners. We also like to communicate in the company and in our spare time. Because at Remoticom we love the "Dutch Brabant lifestyle".
The broader perspective of the word communication
We like to look at things from a broader perspective. We want to keep both feet on the ground and realise that communication is more important than connectivity. Communication is about understanding each other and actually passing on a piece of life, knowledge and understanding to each other. Communication is also about emotion. Whereas connectivity is more about connection. But here we have more of a 24/7, online feeling. While we believe in a mix of online and offline communication that reinforces each other.
THE DEFINITIONS.
If you type connectivity into Google, the definition you get is: the ease with which connections can be made to other (business) systems.
If you type in communication, the result is so much more: connection, chatter, community, information transfer, notification, training, consultation and exchange of ideas.
We stand by the word communication for a 100%.
