Technical (operational) buyer.
In the automation revolution that is taking place in the business world, Internet of Things (IoT) is an indispensable technology. As technical buyer you are responsible for the entire procurement and production process. From assessing the application to ordering all requested materials. You are responsible for a continuous supply of products. You have the freedom to develop your own initiatives when it comes to identifying new components, products or services that can complement or improve Remoticom. From your passion, you follow prices and market developments closely.
tasks.
• Realising and negotiating optimal conditions with regard to pricing and delivery terms, resulting in framework contracts
• Preparing requests for offers to suppliers and evaluating these requests on the basis of factors such as price, delivery time, quality and other delivery conditions.
• Setting up and coordinating productions in Europe and Asia.
• Monitoring delivery times and price agreements.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers around the world.
• Processing purchase orders in the ERP system Exact.
• Coordinate the distribution of purchased goods.
• You make order appointments and monitor whether the agreements made are met.
• Planning and managing the product stock.
Who are you?
• You have a completed technical education such as Technical Business Administration or Electronics and preferably have +3 years of experience in the field.
• You are the bridge between R&D and production. You will be involved in the product development process from the point of view of purchasing and will directly advise the management on margins, quality, etc.
• You are the person with the helicopter view in a fun, dynamic work environment.
• You can work accurately and independently.
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.
• Someone with a clear vision of our profession, who likes to roll up his sleeves.
• The sun in the house. Someone who convinces, thinks along and shakes things up.
A day in the life of a technical buyer.
• 08.30 – You start the day at the coffee machine with your colleagues.
• 08.45 – You check incoming mail and make a planning for the day.
• 09.00 – You check the current status of the open orders and make some phone calls.
• 10.00 – Operational meeting with sales, product management and operations manager.
• 11.00 – On the basis of incoming requests, you initiate the purchase for the production.
• 12.30 – Remoticom lunch with your colleagues at the bar with a freshly cooked egg, good coffee and a lot of fun.
• 13.00 – Consultation with the R&D department about new developments.
• 14.30 – Booking of import shipments so that the materials can be collected from the suppliers.
• 16.30 – Discuss any bottlenecks in the supply chain with management.
