Customer Support employee.
A customer support engineer at Remoticom is the interface between the customer and our engineering team. Guiding (new) customers to achieve their goals with our products is what drives you every day. Priorities are set by the business development / sales team.
Responsibilities.
• Become an expert in our products.
• Technical interface to system integrators.
• Discussing technical problems with customers via telephone, e-mail or ticket system.
• On-site analysis and follow-up of complex technical problems in close cooperation with our engineering team.
• General testing of products, release of new firmware versions with a focus on product quality.
• Use of different methodologies to perform the support tasks, such as writing technical documentation/release notes/presentation, bug tracking, trace-log research.
• Support tasks consisting of general product testing, conference calls with customers, troubleshooting and giving presentations, tech-commercial and training sessions (at the customer's premises).
• Continuously maintain/expand your technical expertise in order to serve the customer in an accurate, quick and correct manner.
Profile.
• Diploma in Master ICT/Electronics or equivalent through experience.
• Being an independent thinker and needing little supervision, but also being able to work well in a team to achieve the ultimate goals of the organisation.
• Be able to handle multiple projects in a short time, multitask and deal with deadline pressure.
• Present ideas and information accurately and explain industry jargon in a clear manner for customers.
• Willingness to travel.
• Language skills in English and Dutch, French and/or German are a plus.
• Experience with IoT or M2M market is an advantage.
• Experience in C/C++, Linux, JavaScript, LUA, Computer networking (TCP/IP, OpenVPN...) is a plus.
