FIRMWARE ENGINEER.
As firmware engineer you design and develop the firmware for (new) products. At the beginning of the development process, the FW engineer designs and builds the firmware for the 'Proof of Concept' (POC), which proves that Remoticom can meet the customer demand. In any case, the customer can be an external or internal customer.
The POC also helps the FW engineer understand the techniques required for the final product. An FW engineer has the freedom and responsibility to design the firmware and use techniques as they see fit, within Remoticom's standards, so that the product meets the customer and product requirements set out in the functional requirement specifications.
Responsibilities.
• Timely delivery of firmware within set time.
• Submit firmware test ready and with description to the test engineer.
• Firmware meets the requirements of the customer and Remoticom.
• Revision versioning via GIT.
• Code is provided with clear comments (transferable).
• Writing unit tests.
• Designing and realizing POC.
• Provide support for the preparation of user requirement specifications (URS) and functional requirement specifications (FRS).
• Design firmware based on URS and FRS.
• Provide support to fellow FW and HW engineers.
• Provide support to test engineers.
• Cooperate in project group with HW engineers and (external) SW engineers.
• Improve and automate design processes.
• Investigate and/or resolve firmware issues in RMA product.
Profile.
• You have a higher professional education level.
• You have experience with embedded programming in embedded C (experience with C++, C# or Python is a plus).
• You have experience with software architecture/design and testing of embedded software applications.
• You have good communication skills and a good command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
